Transportation work splits cleanly in two: high-volume parts where the piece price is everything, and aftermarket parts where availability is.
Aqua-Hot heater fins for RV heating systems are the second kind. The annual quantity is real but not enormous, the part has to be right, and the customer needs them on a schedule that suits their build. That is a progressive die and a stocking program, not a race to the lowest possible piece price.
The first kind, high-volume electrical contacts and chassis components, is what the high-speed presses are for. The 75 ton Bliss HP2-75 and the two 45 ton HP2-45s run coil-fed with servo feeds and tonnage monitoring, which is how you make hundreds of thousands of a part without the last one differing from the first.
A word on automotive standards
Frontier is ISO 9001:2015 registered. We are not IATF 16949 registered. Tier one automotive programs that require IATF should know that before they spend time on a quote; a great deal of transportation, RV, truck and aftermarket work does not.

Why the tool room matters to you
Frontier builds its own dies. You pay for the tool once, when the parts are acceptable to you, and after that you never pay us for that tool again — setups, maintenance, sharpening, storage and complete rebuilds are covered for as long as the part design does not change.

Are you IATF 16949 registered?
No. Frontier is ISO 9001:2015 registered. We will tell you up front if your program needs a standard we do not hold.
Can you run high volumes?
Yes. High-speed coil-fed presses with servo feeds and tonnage monitoring, from low volumes into the millions.
